Christmas DART times / late-night DART services for the run-up to Christmas 2022

Two DART trains.

Irish Rail have announced that there will be late night DART services on weekends over the December 2022 festive period. Late night train services will also operate on Maynooth, Dundalk and Kildare commuter routes.

Fares on these trains will be charged at normal rates and passengers can use Leap cards and other season tickets to avail of these services.

Irish Rail has also said that there will be security personnel on board all late night trains.

The late night services are due to operate on the following dates:

  • Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December

  • Friday 9th & Saturday 10th December

  • Friday 16th & Saturday 17th December

  • Friday 23rd December

  • Saturday 31st December

There will be no late night services on Christmas Eve, 24th December.

On all days of late night services between Friday 2nd December and Friday 23rd December, the schedule will be as follows:

  • 00:30 & 01:30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth

  • 00:30 & 01:30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones

  • 00:40 & 01:40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk

  • 00:20 & 02:00 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth

  • 23:50 & 01:50 from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare

However, Saturday 31st December will have the following altered schedule for New Year’s Eve revellers:

  • 01:30 & 02:30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth

  • 01:30 & 02:30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones

  • 01:40 & 02:40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk

  • 01:20 & 03:00 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth

  • 00:50 & 02:50 from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare
