Transport For Ireland and Invisible Disability Ireland have launched a “Please offer Me a Seat” badge and card for public transport passengers with invisible disabilities.

The purpose of the scheme is to allow people with invisible disabilities make fellow passengers aware that they may need a seat.

Invisible disabilities include head injuries, autism and fibromyalgia among others, all of which can result in a passenger having difficulty standing on public transport.

The new card can be used on the following public transport services:

  • Dublin Bus

  • Bus Éireann

  • Iarnród Éireann—Irish Rail

  • Luas

  • Go-Ahead Ireland

  • TFI Local Link

If you have an invisible disability, you can apply for a free badge and card through any of these operators.
