New TFI Live journey planning app launched

Transport For Ireland has launched a new app, ‘TFI Live’, to provide public transport users with the ability to access live real-time departure information and plan their journeys.

The new TFI Live app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices, will replace the ‘Real Time Ireland’ and ‘Journey Planner’ apps. Support for those apps will be gradually withdrawn from 22nd February 2023.

The TFI Live app combines the features of the previous apps under one roof, providing live information across the full Transport For Ireland network.

Some of the key features of the TFI Live app are:

  • the ability to view live real time departure information for Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus, Go Ahead Ireland, Luas and Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail services;

  • the option to select your origin and destination to find the best route for your journey on any licensed transport operator;

  • search tool for route specific timetables and maps;

  • save your favourite journeys, departures and timetables for quick access on the go.
