Luas Red Line partial closure on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2023
Due to essential maintenance works at Mortuary Curve near Heuston Station, Red Line Luas trams will not operate between Blackhorse and Heuston Luas stops on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2023.
During these works, Luas trams will only be available between Tallaght/Saggart and Blackhorse, and between Heuston and Connolly/The Point.
Luas Green Line services will not be affected by these works.
A replacement bus service will be available approximately every 15 minutes between Blackhorse and Heuston on these dates, subject to certain restrictions (more details below).
To board the replacement bus, passengers must have a valid Luas ticket, TFI Leap Card, or a Public Services Card with Free Travel.
Luas customers travelling Eastbound between Blackhorse and Heuston:
The Eastbound bus will only stop at Blackhorse and Heuston Luas stops.
If you're at Drimnagh heading towards the city, you can either walk to Blackhorse Luas stop (7 minutes away) or take the Westbound bus to Blackhorse, which will then proceed to Heuston Luas stop.
From Goldenbridge or Rialto Luas stops, walk to Suir Road Luas stop (5 and 8 minutes respectively) and catch the Westbound bus to Blackhorse, which will then head to Heuston.
From Fatima Luas stop, Heuston is roughly a 17-minute walk. Alternatively, take the Westbound bus from Blackhorse.
Luas customers travelling Westbound between Heuston and Blackhorse:
The Westbound bus will stop at Heuston, James’s, Suir Road, Drimnagh, and Blackhorse.
If you're at Rialto Luas stop, walk to Suir Road Luas stop (8 minutes) for the bus.
From Fatima, walk to James’s Luas stop (12 minutes) for the replacement bus.
From Goldenbridge, walk to Suir Road Luas stop (5 minutes) for the bus.
Normal Red Line Luas services will resume on Monday 2nd October 2023.
