Public Transport in Dublin for August Bank Holiday Weekend
Read on to get a full roundup of arrangements for Dublin public transport services this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Buses
Nitelink services will be in operation on Friday 2nd August and Saturday 3rd August 2024. Nitelinks will not operate on Sunday 4th August 2024.
On Bank Holiday Monday 5th August 2024, all Dublin Bus services will operate to a Sunday timetable.

Luas trams
On Saturday 3rd August and Sunday 4th August 2024, Luas will run according to normal Saturday and Sunday hours and frequency.
On Bank Holiday Monday 5th August 2024, Luas will operate on Sunday hours and frequency, with services starting at 7:00 am on both the Green and Red Lines.

Trains
DART trains
DART trains will operate to normal timetables on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2024.
On Bank Holiday Monday 5th August, DART and Dublin Commuter train services will operate to a Sunday timetable.
Belfast services
From Saturday, 3rd August to Monday, 5th August, engineering works will affect train services between Malahide/Drogheda and Belfast/Newry. During this period, there will be no train service between Malahide and Belfast.
For those using Enterprise services, bus transfers will be available between Connolly and Belfast, with stops at Drogheda, Dundalk, and Newry. Passengers traveling to Portadown should change buses at Newry.
Additionally, there are schedule changes to note:
The Monday to Friday 21:35 service from Belfast to Connolly is moved to 20:05.
The Saturday 21:28 service from Belfast to Connolly is also rescheduled to 20:05.
For Northern commuter services between Dundalk and Drogheda, the following stations will be closed: Dundalk, Drogheda, Laytown, Gormanston, Balbriggan, Skerries, Rush & Lusk, and Donabate. A limited bus transfer service will operate between Drogheda and Connolly, stopping at Drogheda, Balbriggan, Donabate, and Connolly, as well as between Skerries, Rush & Lusk, and Connolly.
