Partial Closure on Luas Red Line on 2nd and 3rd March 2024

This weekend, on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March 2024, Red Line LUAS services between Tallaght and Belgard will be suspended to allow for essential engineering works. During this time, trams will only operate between Belgard/Saggart and Connolly/The Point.

A replacement bus service will be available, running approximately every 15 minutes between Tallaght and Belgard. Passengers are advised to plan for extra travel time.

Green Line LUAS services will operate as usual and are not impacted by these works.

For Passengers Travelling Between Tallaght and Belgard:

  • Eastbound from Tallaght: Walk to Tallaght Stop 4348, located one minute away, to catch the replacement bus.

  • Eastbound from Hospital: A 5-minute walk to Tallaght Stop will connect you with the replacement bus to Belgard.

  • Eastbound from Cookstown: It's a 2-minute walk to the Cookstown Stop for the bus service to Belgard.

For Passengers Travelling from Belgard to Tallaght:

  • Westbound services will stop at Belgard, Cookstown, Hospital, and Tallaght. Simply walk to the nearest stop (a 2-minute walk from Belgard and Cookstown stops, and a 5-minute walk from Hospital Stop) to catch the bus.

Normal Red Line LUAS services will resume on Monday, 4th March 2024, starting with the first tram of the day.

This temporary change is necessary to complete vital track maintenance at Tallaght Luas Stop.
