Free shuttle bus service for the Darkness Into Light event in the Phoenix Park on Saturday 11th May

The annual Darkness Into Light fundraising events in aid of suicide prevention charity Pieta takes place at sunrise on Saturday 11th May 2024 across Ireland and around the globe. Dublin’s Phoenix Park will host a 5km walk as part of the event, starting at 4.15am.

Dublin Bus is providing a free return shuttle bus service from stop 7078 on Park Gate Street to the starting point of the walk on Chesterfield Avenue. The shuttle bus service to the park will commence at 2am and the last return bus will leave the park at 6am.

Event organisers advise that participants in the Phoenix Park should arrive at least 45 minutes ahead of 4.15am to allow time for registration. Darkness Into Light has raised almost €36 million for suicide prevention services since it began in 2009. This year, it is expected that around 150,000 people will participate in Darkness Into Light walks across almost 230 events in Ireland and beyond.
