Public transport in Dublin for May Bank Holiday
Read on to get a full roundup of arrangements for Dublin public transport services this May Bank Holiday weekend.
Buses
Nitelink services will be available on Friday 3rd May and Saturday 4th May. No Nitelink services will operate on Sunday 5th May.
Dublin Bus 24-hour routes will operate as usual across the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Further information on these routes is available here.
On Bank Holiday Monday 6th May 2024, all Dublin Bus services will operate to a Sunday timetable.

Luas Trams
On Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May, Luas trams will maintain normal operating hours and frequency as per a typical Saturday and Sunday schedule.
On Bank Holiday Monday May 6th 2024, Luas services on both the Green and Red Lines will operate on a Sunday schedule, starting at around 7:00 am. For details on Sunday operating hours, visit the Luas website.
Trains
On Monday 6th May, all Dart and commuter services will operate to a Sunday timetable.
Additionally, due to scheduled engineering works, DART services between Grand Canal Dock and Bray will be suspended over the May bank holiday weekend from Saturday, May 4th to Monday, May 6th, 2024.
During this time, DART trains will operate between Malahide/Howth and Grand Canal Dock and vice versa.
Passengers impacted by this service disruption may use their valid rail tickets on Dublin Bus and GoAhead Ireland bus routes.
The engineering works will also impact Intercity trains running between Dublin Connolly and Rosslare Europort. Trains to Rosslare will start and end at Bray, with a bus transfer provided between Dublin Connolly and Bray to connect passengers to Rosslare services.
